Somewhere to review books I'm reading without giving away any spoilers!

James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl

Title: James and the Giant PeachJames Peach

Author: Roald Dahl

Illustrator: Quentin Blake

Publisher: Puffin

Published: 2011

Rating: 4/5

Another fantastic fantasy book by Roald Dahl, this one is one of his longer books, divided into short chapters with lots of brilliant illustrations making it ideal for bedtime reading or for children who are starting to read longer stories with increasing independence. Every chapter seems to end on a superb cliff-hanger, making the reader enthusiastic to read more – great motivation for normally reluctant readers! This is a book I have read numerous times and will no doubt continue to read again in future! The main character is James and the story is his adventures on the giant peach and the amazing characters he meets en route – great for everyone 🙂

This is a new edition with colour illustrations by Quentin Blake – is definitely worth checking out!

I have observed that in the world today, video games will be the latest fad with kids
of all ages. Periodically it may be impossible to drag your kids away from the activities.
If you want the best of both worlds, there are plenty
of educational gaming activities for kids.
    Thanks for your post.
