I really enjoyed this delightful story, a fabulous sequel and additional adventure for the heroine, Agnil. In this story she is being bullied at school and runs to get away from the bullies only to find herself in another adventure where her half human half elf self can help save others if she has the courage and tenacity to do so. I’m not saying any more or it would give spoilers away but I really liked the ending and so will many who have suffered from any form of bullying, racism or prejudice.
Sue’s writing flows, taking the reader along with her and Agnil on magical adventures that can be enjoyed by the young and the young at heart. It explores the feelings of Aggie in a believable manner, making her a character that is easy to relate to and want to support. The worlds she experiences are fantastic settings for this epic fantasy – a must read and I’ve already started on the next book in the series ( Agnil and the Tree Spirits). Brilliant books by a great author and the illustrations enhance the story telling, too!
