The Forgotten Cottage by Helen Phifer

Title: The Forgotten CottageForgotten Cottage

Author: Helen Phifer

Publisher: Carina UK

Published: October 31st, 2014

Rating:   4/5

If you haven’t read any of the books in this series yet, you don’t know what you’re missing! Helen Phifer’s heroine is Annie Graham, who lives and works as a police officer in the North West of England and this is the third book in the series. Don’t let that put you off if you haven’t read the others yet as it reads well as a standalone, too.

Annie is going to marry Will and together they purchase a cottage which seems ideal for them though it does need some work doing to it before they can move in. Both of them look on this as a new start, a move away from the spirits and demons she hopes she has also left behind – but has she? This is a spooky tale with three story threads running through it, intertwined with artistry of a brilliant author. Admittedly only two of these threads will be resolved in this book and the book ends on a cliffhanger, leaving you wanting to read the next book in the series as soon as possible!

A chilling tale which keeps the reader enthralled and on the edge of their seat. Highly recommended!

Thanks to the author, publishers and NetGalley too
