Ferret is the runt of the litter but, whilst he may be small in stature he has a brave adventurous heart! He starts by exploring the pet shop in which he lives, escaping his jail – sorry, cage – whilst the shop is shut and makes friends with the other animals living therein. Little ferret learns about the world, how not everyone is as nice as they seem and generally finding out about the world and creatures around him.
The story is written as if it is being told by the little ferret who is proud to use a rich vocabulary, explaining (as part of the story) what some of the harder words used in it mean. Altogether a delightful tale for more able readers, The story is told in chapters and will appeal to any who enjoy reading stories which involve animals and adventures.
