The Story of Santa Claus by Joseph McCullough

Title: The Story of Santa Claus  Santa Claus

Author: Joseph McCullough

Illustrator: Peter Dennis

Publisher: Osprey Publishing

Rating: 4/5

Couldn’t resist reviewing this very seasonal book which relates the history of Santa Claus – from his beginnings as a holy man in Ancient Rome, through a variety of legends from around the world to the present day. After the introduction, it is divided into four chapters, starting with Nicholas, Bishop of Myra, followed by Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker, then The Gift Bringers and, finally, Santa Claus.

This book is full of fascinating facts and stories – well researched and presented in an easily readable and beautifully illustrated – a fantastically festive book at this time of year but inspirational whatever the season.

Thanks to the author, publishers and NetGalley too

for letting me read this book in exchange for this, an honest review.
