Somewhere to review books I'm reading without giving away any spoilers!
Author: Christopher L Harbo
Illustrator: Danny Chatzikonstantinou
Publisher: Picture Window Books – Capstone Young Readers
Published: January/February 2015
This book is designed to appeal to toddlers and starts
By being divided into two different parts.
Both show a beautifully illustrated version of the traditional nursery rhyme,
First is the usual but next is from the king’s men’s perspective, this second time.
It ends with a brilliant twist that will appeal to youngsters and adults, too
As the king’s men eat scrambled eggs for breakfast – what else could they do?
The whimsical, colourful pictures are eye-catching and bright
They will certainly be attractive to toddlers and children alike.
I also suggest the book could also easily be used by teachers in schools
In at least three different ways, each equally cool
as an example of a nursery rhyme or to help children understand point of view
Or the art work in it could also prove inspirational, too!
A lovely book that youngsters will really appreciate.
Thanks to the author, publishers and NetGalley, too, for letting me read this book in exchange for an honest review.
