Every so often I come across a great book that’ll keep me smiling just thinking about it – this is one of those books!

Rodeo Red and her hound dog Rusty have a great life until Side Swiping Slim shows up in town! Despite the noise he makes, her parents seem smitten with the varmint! When Slim collars Rusty and refuses to give him back Red knows she has to find a way to rescue him but her parents won’t help her, she has to do this on her own. What can she do? Will Rusty be dognapped by Slim forever? How can she get him back again?

A superb funny story about coping with the arrival of a new sibling that many older siblings will easily relate to! The story is told from Red’s perspective, will attractive illustrations to enhance the tale. Children will relate easily to this and really enjoy it – and the ending is great!

Thanks to the author, publishers and NetGalley, too, for letting me read a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
