The Stranger by Harlan Coben

Title: The StrangerThe Stranger

Author: Harlan Coben

Publisher: Orion Publishing

Rating: 4/5

When a stranger approaches and reveals family secrets, the impact on the lives of everyone concerned are dramatically changed forever – and usually not for the better. Just who is the stranger? Why is he doing this? This is a heartbreaking murder mystery, the sort you don’t particularly ‘like’ but that keeps you riveted and page turning as you really want to discover what happens and keep on hoping for a happy ever after ending.

Oh what a tangled web is revealed as the stranger shares knowledge of secrets with family members. Sometimes these seem minor but others are more serious and have a devastating impact on everyone involved. As more secrets are revealed, some start to interlink and threats to life and sanity become prevalent. I was very confused about where this story was going originally but it certainly got better as I read more! It is a great psychological thriller written by a true master of this genre.

Thanks to the author, publishers and NetGalley, too, for letting me read this book in exchange for an honest review.
