Having escaped her very controlling, manipulative and demeaning parents and fiancé a year ago, Meredith Anderson has created a new life for herself with her sister and brother-in-law on their ranch. She’s working with her sister in their wedding planning business, growing more self confident, independent and self reliant now she’s not being controlled by her father. When she first arrived at the ranch she actually fainted into the strong, safe arms of Gage McAllister. They’ve been attracted ever since but neither believe that love is for them and she’s really needed the time to recover from the emotional trauma inflicted by her past. He doesn’t believe himself good enough for her, either, so they look fated to stay apart until  . . . . well, you’ll just have to read the book to find out what happens!

This story has emotional blackmail, love, threats, parental blackmail, new families – all in one great story! The characters are well rounded, their emotions portrayed in a manner that makes them easy to relate to and the story has plenty of twists, turn and mystery in it to keep the reader riveted. I have no hesitation in highly recommending it!

Thanks to the author, publishers and NetGalley, too for letting me read an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
