Someone started writing letters professing their love for Ava more than six years ago whilst she was at University. They were so romantic, heartfelt and fantastic that she longed to meet him but he never signed them and she was unaware who was sending them. Then he suggested he reveal his identity. She turned up at the venue but he didn’t and the letters stopped. Ava was heart broken. Now, six years later, the letters have restarted . . . still anonymous, still lovely and now she’s determined to unmask the sender to find out if he really is her dream or a horrid nightmare.

Follow the trials and tribulations Ava goes through in her quest for love. See how unthought responses can cause problems and how, in the end, love really can conquer all if only you are brave enough! There are many other sub-plots and I especially loved Ivy’s story, too!

A delightful debut novel that showcases an awesome new writer’s talent to perfection. The characters are robust, the storyline has so many twists and turns – life really is a rollercoaster for Ava and her friends. At different points in the story you think all will be well then there’s yet another obstacle to be overcome! A riveting read, funny at times, that keeps you enthralled from start to finish. I hope there will be further stories involving many of the characters from this story, revealing what happens next for Ava and Mr Writer as well as other friends and colleagues we’ve met along the way in this book. I have no hesitation in highly recommending this novel to anyone who likes books that explore life, warts and all, on the road to romance.

Thanks to the author, publishers and NetGalley, too,
for letting me read an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
