This is the first book in the series and is a very quick, fast paced read (<70pages). It concerns Melanie Webb who has just married the baseball star Grady Hollis then wonders if it is all a mistake – so dashes from the wedding, leaving him alone. Read it to see if love can find a way to overcome her fears.

A delightful short story, just right for when you’ve only an hour or so to spare. It has great characters who appear in the later books, too, who explore their insecurities after a secret and hurried marriage. I really liked Grady’s understanding and compassion in this and look forward to seeing how their relationship develops in future stories.
