This is the third book in the series and continues the saga of Kit Landry’s tour. This one focusses on Zane Wyatt, the guitarist in her band who is also a songwriter who has been working for the last five years to get his own recording contract that will still enable him to choose what he records. He’s a brilliant musician, so much so that he’s also the opening act for the tour, but he’s very focussed on his own success and something of a manwhore.
Kit’s half sister, seventeen year old Emory Cabell, joins the tour to get to know Kit and to see also if she also wants to make music her life. When Zane first sees Emory, he can’t help going over to help her load her gear on the tour bus. When the two meet, the chemistry between them is explosive! Kit wants them to try songwriting together but will they be making sweet music or be dynamite?
A great addition to the series, with two strong characters exploring their possible futures. Whilst Zane is an alpha male with some characteristics that make you cringe, he’s also hard working, very focussed and initially respectful of Emory though also very attracted to her. She is strong willed, determined and sassy. Their story is beautifully portrayed and the ending is superb!
Thanks to the author and publisher for letting me read an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
