With heavenly angels, nephilim, fallen angels, demon and even vampires this is a feast for lovers of paranormal novels who like some angelic wars and double agents in their romantic reading!

A team of Nephilim are working for the Directorate, following their orders and acting as an unstoppable team of assassins on behalf of the heavenly angels. These same angels, however, despise and detest the Nephilim, keeping their powers bound, automatically inflicting pain on them when they use too much. Kasdeja is one of the Bound, a half-angel who wants to free himself and his ‘family’ from the tyranny of Heaven.

Mariel is a mysterious, alluring member of the Renegades – the fallen angels who are battling the Heavenly angels – she’s been ordered to seduce Kasdeja and get him to work for them rather than against them. She’s offering him the chance to be unbound, to be free but what will be the cost and what is her real motive?

The two are seriously attracted but hidden agendas, powerful adversaries and twisted opponents are working against their love.

This is a  fast paced thriller with double dealing, deceit and some really bad angels in a great story. I found out after reading it that it is part of a series but it still worked well as a standalone – but I’d love to read the earlier books (Angel Kin and Angel Bait) and the next one, too!

Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley too, for letting me read an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
