Mac Northrop has been friends with Lexi Mannis ever since they were at college together. He was something of a geek back then but he’s always been there whenever she needed him – for special occasions, building furniture, to try cooking for, just there when she needed him – a truly great friend to have around. He’s now a very successful business man and she’s also helped him out as a partner for corporate events and the like. The problem is he’s been in love with her for years and she just doesn’t know it. When they cross the line from friendship to lovers he thinks things are going well – until she suggests they be ‘friends with benefits’. He wants more but she’s too blinkered to realise and is now in danger of losing him completely….

This is a short, very sweet, chicklit relating how the two journey from friends to acknowledging their love for each other after experiencing jealousy and plenty of angst along the way. A great book for a quick escape read!

Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley too, for letting me read an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
