My 4.5* Review:

This is an intriguing theme, using the songs of Duran Duran as the  stimulus for a collection of stories, each written by a different author. I liked how the stories cover so many genres – there is something sure to suit the reader’s mood,  preferred genre or style in amongst these! For once I did not read these stories in the order they are in the book, instead deciding which music I wanted to listen to first. The authors share the reason for choosing the song/story title for their work and listening to that song before (and sometimes during) reading the story seemed appropriate and even if I didn’t have the genuine music playing, it was often there in my head at that time.

The stories are very individual and unique, each with its own selection of great characters, settings and plots. You may not appreciate all the stories but there are such a great range of them in this collection that there are surely some to please even the most discerning reader. It  has certainly introduced me to some brilliant authors that I’ll certainly be looking out for in future!

One of the authors of this compilation is Kerry Adrienne who kindly did a Guest post on this blog – read it here!
