Somewhere to review books I'm reading without giving away any spoilers!
I read and thoroughly enjoyed ‘Jaguar’s Judgement‘ by Lia Davis, so when I was offered the chance to interview her for my blog, I just couldn’t refuse! Lia is the author of many fantastic books including her latest release ‘Bear Magick‘, my review for which is also published today as part of the blog tour organised by Barclay Publicity. Read on to discover her answers to my questions!
Where did you get the inspiration for the series?
Bears of Blackrock is a spin off from Ashwood Falls. As the Ashwood world grew and other packs joined the leopards and wolves in the war I knew I had to write their stories.
Before I begin each book, I need to plot out the backstory and discover what the characters’’ goals, and motivations are. Then I can create the outline for the first half of the story before diving in.
Do you write using pen and paper or on a computer?
I plot with paper and pen a lot, but write on the computer.
Who is your favourite character out of your stories and why?
Aww, I can’t pick just one. I love all my characters. They are different in their own ways. The males are alpha with a couple of betas thrown in. My girls are strong, independent, and passionate.
If you were a character in your story, which would you like to be?
In Bear Magick, I’d like to be Nichole. She’s loving, compassionate, and can take care of herself when needed.
How and why did you choose the names for your main characters?
I search names on Behind the Name until the right one jumps out at me. The name has to fit with the personally of character.
Thank you for having me over today.
