Title: Wait For Me, The Outback Bachelor Ball #3
Author: Sarah Mayberry
Publisher: Sarah Mayberry
Release Date: October 20th, 2015
Rating: 5/5
This is the final novella in a trilogy, each book written by a different author but all concerning three friends who went to boarding school together and have been best friends ever since. They may live in different countries, but they are still there for one another. After a particularly traumatic time for them all, they decide to meet up and go tot the Outdoor Bachelor and Spinster Ball, not realising that this event will change all of their lives – for the better!
It actually doesn’t matter what order you read these novellas in, they each focus on the events from the point of view of one of the friends and this one concentrates on Beth Walker, who was devastated to learn that her rockstar husband has been cheating on her throughout their four year marriage – with more than thirty different women! Stalked by the paparazzi, she’s struggling to cope with the turmoil in her life until her two best friends chat with her over Skype and they plan to attend the Ball together. Beth doesn’t want to hook up with anyone but when someone she’s known for years turns up, the chemistry is strong but so is her determination to recover from recent events. Not only that but the man in question is Jonah Masters, a rising country music star – can she really trust her heart to another musician? Will he wait for her?
This is probably the most traumatic of the novellas in this series but is still a well written, great read and poignant, too. The author has a great emotive style which makes it easy to empathise with the characters, their angst and turmoil as the novel progresses. It is a great addition to the series and I love how the stories, though written by different authors, are interwoven and relate to each other so seamlessly. Superb authorship by skilled writers making this a series of short reads not to be missed by anyone who loves to read romantic fiction filled with emotion and love.
Thanks to the authors for letting me read an ARC of this series in exchange for this, an honest review.
