Three brothers, work together, play together and have their world turned upside down together when a previously unheard of older half brother turns up. Born only months before Cutter, Jackson Nash has been in foster care for most of his life and comes seeking answers after finding out about his father when his mother died three weeks ago. He’s accompanied by his foster sister, Mia Blake, who is feisty, resilient, argumentative and instantly attracted to Cutter! To make things interesting, Cutter is also instantly attracted to Mia.
With their father overseas, the brothers are in doubt about Jackson being another brother – Jackson and Cutter could be twins in looks! However, the foundations of their family and relationships are rocked by this revelation and their father seems to be reticent to come home, talk to his newly discovered son or talk about this with any of them. Life’s got interesting, to put it mildly, and Cutter and Mia’s attraction is just adding to the drama!
This is a superb story of family loyalty being stretched and extended, of lust, love, romance and heroism. It was a riveting read, with great characters and an engaging plot that had me rooting for them all throughout, making it a book I didn’t want to put down till the very end. Although it is the third book in the series about these brothers, I had not read any of the earlier ones and it works well as a standalone – though I’d now also love to read the earlier two novels! I have no hesitation in highly recommending it to anyone who enjoys family dramas and romance.
Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley, too, for letting me read an ARC of this book in exchange for this, an honest review.
