Review: The Little Bookshop on the Seine by Rebecca Raisin

Title: The Little Bookshop on the SeineBookshop on the Seine

Author: Rebecca Raisin

Publisher: Carina UK

Release Date: October 16th, 2015

Rating 5/5

Sarah Smith agrees to exchange working in her bookshop with working in one in Paris for six months, dreaming of all the possibilities of living and working in this romantic city.

It is a highly entertaining read where the writing flows smoothly, taking the reader into hidden gems within the city which are evocatively described, the words paint a detailed picture in the reader’s imagination. It is great to meet some familiar characters from earlier novels by this author, they’re like visiting beloved old friends but there are also new friends to meet as you journey through the story. Even the secondary characters are well thought out, with many aspects of their lives, past and present, brought to life as part of the story.  I recommend not reading whilst you’re hungry though – some of the delicious sounding french food will soon have your tummy rumbling!

Rebecca Raisin has done it again with this enthralling novel. Great characters, brilliant interactions, emotive plot and lots of twists and turns to keep the reader enthralled throughout!

Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley, too, for letting me read an ARC of this book in exchange for this, an honest review.
