My Review:

This is the concluding part of this book and what a great read it is! In the first book we learnt about Haylie’s dilemma after her high school romance with an ice hockey star ended with him cheating on her. She was determined not to fall for another such player but Cam is impossible for her heart to resist but her brain is determined to protect her from further heartbreak and so she is torn. She doubts herself and everyone around her. Cam, however, is steadfast in his determination to win her love. Then there’s her ex, Tyler, who starts texting her to try to win her back . . . oh the angst and turmoil of young love!

Right Kind of Mistake Quote3This is a great read with well portrayed characters and a maze of a plot that has you thinking one wrong turn and we’ll read a dead end in Haylie’s love life. There are some hilarious moments (sledging), some that are truly heartwarming (Haylie acting as the Art Teacher), others that are heartbreaking (the ultimatum) and through it all the major trust problem that is affecting Haylie’s love life so detrimentally. The secondary characters are also well fleshed out and I’ll be intrigued to find out if any of them will have roles in any future novels – especially Haylie’s two best friends, I do hope so!Right Kind of Mistake QuoteTWO

I’m very probably biased but I do admit it. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed everything I’ve read by this author and am proud to be a member of her Alaskan Chicks Street Team. This, however, is still my honest review and I have no hesitation in highly recommending this to anyone who enjoys college romances filled with great characters and plenty of predicaments to be resolved!

Thanks to the author and publishers for letting me read an ARC of this book in exchange for this, an honest review.

Synopsis:

Continue on Cam and Haylie’s journey in the second volume of this NA hockey romance novella series.

Unlucky in love, Haylie Keene can’t believe she’s dating another hockey player–especially her ex boyfriend’s former teammate. Sexy as hell Cam Erickson is impossible to resist, but Haylie’s doubts keep her from jumping in with her whole heart. And when her ex makes a play to win her back, she’s completely torn.Right Kind of Mistake Quote2

Cam doesn’t know the meaning of giving less than a hundred percent, whether it’s to win a hockey game or Haylie’s heart. So when it looks like she might choose her cheating ex over him, he’s unwilling to sit the bench while she makes up her mind.

When Haylie realizes she might lose Cam, she knows she must fight to keep him. But can she thaw the ice around his heart before the last buzzer sounds on their relationship?
