My Review:

What a brilliant second story in this paranormal series! After being in the witness protection program, having to run to escape the gangsters chasing them who were endeavouring to prevent them testifying only to discover their secret heritage, Morgan is now struggling to cope and control her shifting ability. The only cure is a special potion that the local moonshine making witch has and the problem with that is the witch is a mean, lizard shifter with gorgon like tendencies – so whatever you do, don’t look in her eyes! That’s easier said that done and when Morgan’s younger brother is cursed by the witch, the only way to stop him dying is for Morgan to do as the witch demands – and that involves obtaining something from their enemies, the panther shifters, the Panteras. Life certainly isn’t getting any easier for the Daniel children! With an egg about to hatch, more shifters to meet, danger coming at them from many quarters, this is another action packed paranormal adventure!

With a growing variety of shifters, a warlock, rock band, rogue werewolves and relatives to resume contact with the story is a fast paced, with developing characters exploring the new secret world into which they have been immersed. The alliances they’re now hoping to make will be crucial if they are to be safe in the future but as secrets from the past are revealed, new family bonds discovered and new enemies made I can’t wait to discover what happens next in this intriguing series!

Thanks to the author for gifting me an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Synopsis:

The bad news? Morgan Daniel’s wolf is out of control. The good news? There’s a treatment. She just has to get a potion from a lizard shifter witch–without looking into the witch’s eyes. Easy, right? But when the witch puts a spell on her younger brother, Morgan has to do the witch’s bidding to save him.

Fortunately Morgan isn’t alone. She has Jackson to lean on, a few witches coming into their powers, a secret warlock, and the always mysterious Chief Okema. What could possibly go wrong?

Just wanted to drop you a note here seeing that you reviewed this – I did add this on Goodreads since it was missing there. Just finished it up myself and need to write up my own review. 🙂
