Title: Engaging the Bachelor
Author: Cathryn Fox
Publisher: Entangled Brazen, Entangled Publishing
Date of Publication: June 6th, 2016
This is a hot and steamy read, living up to its Brazen branding but a great story too. Whilst celebrating his birthday a decade ago, Carson Reynolds had an unexpected, hot and very memorable encounter with a gate crasher at his party. He’s never forgotten her but didn’t know who she was or how to contact her again but he’s been looking ever since. Now a fully qualified Doctor, he is attending a charity auction at a local restaurant when he recognises her – and this time he’s determined she won’t get away! The attraction is hot, mutual, steamy and neither can resist though both set limits on their commitment – until they’re caught by his parents. Then he claims she’s his fiancee . . . .
This is a second chance romance where both main characters have been putting up a facade, hiding their real emotions from most of the world. The only ones to penetrate this protection are each other. He’s everyone girl’s dreamboat – a caring, handsome, rich, caring, hot, sexy doctor and she’s his dream girl, the one that got away but now he’s determined she won’t do so again. She uses her act as a bad girl to keep folks, other than her best friend, away, in reality she’s anything but bad, a caring, feisty, independent jewellery designer with a growing clientele. His family are brilliant, especially his sister and her Mum really needs help. There are lies, secrets, a snarky competitive lady and much more in this engaging steamy romance – complete with the requisite HEA! A great read to escape into when you want your romance to be steamy but still have a believable plot.
Thanks to the author, publishers and NetGalley, too, for letting me read this in exchange for my honest review.
Hot, Southampton doctor, Carson Reynolds isn’t the kind of man Gemma Carr should be playing with. But his offer of a fake engagement comes with sexy, late night house calls, and despite her bad girl reputation, it’s been far too long since she’s taken two and called anyone in the morning.
When Carson sees Gemma at a charity event, he knows he has to have her. It’s been ten years since he’s had her in his arms, but that hasn’t lessened his intense need for her. To save her reputation and get his parents off his back, he makes her an offer she can’t refuse.
It’s the perfect set-up–until this fake engagement starts to feel a little too real…
