My Review:

Talk about trauma, angst, turmoil and drama – this story is packed with it! Aiden Kent was Noelle Rana’s first love and his mother, Caroline, was like a mother to her, too. Unfortunately Noelle’s father and older brother’s actions following the tragic death of Caroline mean that Aiden no longer wants anything to do with her or her family. However, a deathbed promise brings the two together again and their mutual attraction is even more powerful than ever! Can he overcome the walls he’s built to protect his heart and give their love a chance? Dare she risk her heart being broken by him again?

This is a enthralling second chance romance where the relationship between their parents brought them together then tore them apart. It explores the emotional upheaval those experiences created and the  serious impact these have on their current attitudes, behaviour and expectations. It has many humorous moments as well, so don’t think it will be a dour read – it certainly isn’t! I enjoyed ‘The Millionaire Makeover’ and recommend both to anyone who enjoys their romance with plenty of angst and surprising twists and turns en route!
