My Review:

Having already read the first book in this series, Christmas Under a Cranberry Sky, I couldn’t wait to return to the fantastic island community she’s created and I wasn’t disappointed. This novel continues on from the first, so I really recommend reading them in the correct order. It was brilliant to catch up with everyone on Juniper Island again – and don’t assume the story is only about Neve and Oakley! On the island this time Cupid has been working overtime, though nothing is ever completely straightforward, there is plenty of angst and turmoil to make things a real emotional rollercoaster ride, on where you’re not quite sure what may happen before everyone can reach that elusive HEA ending.

With an interfering, controlling Mum and a girlfriend who is prepared to let the love of her life go so he can achieve his dreams, Oakley is definitely in for a hard time as misunderstandings, accidents, surprises, lies and the past, together with the ever present, intrusive, paparazzi, all seem to strive to keep him and Neve apart. I daren’t name any of the other couples who get together in this story, that’ would be too many spoilers and I always try to avoid giving any of them away, but suffice it to say there’s plenty of romance in the air in the village of Christmas.

There’s plenty of community spirit, people care about each other and the whole atmosphere is of people working together to achieve a common goal through positive support – if only more of the real world could work like this! For example, there’s one incident where one of the wild horses manages to get stuck and accidentally traps someone with them – and when the lady is missed, the whole community go to search for her and come to the rescue. There’s another where you’ll discover about how one of Neve’s horses is specially trained and how this helps one of the hotel guests – so moving!

This is another magical festive read. It was brilliant to be able to catch up with everyone in this winter wonderland and I have no hesitation in highly recommending both books in this series to anyone who enjoys a emotional, festive, action packed romance.

Thanks to the publishers and NetGalley for gifting me an ARC of this novel.

Step inside a beautiful winter wonderland where love, laughter and cosy nights by the fire will make this Christmas one to remember.

Neve Whitaker loves managing the Stardust Lake hotel. She gets to work alongside her wonderful family and she’s spending Christmas on the most enchanting, snow-covered island in Scotland. So why is her heart so heavy this festive season?

It might have something to do with the gorgeous actor Oakley Rey, the man she finished with before he left for California and the man she loves more than anything. With Oakley’s career in Hollywood soaring, Neve is convinced she’d only hold him back. She had to end it with him – at least that’s what she keeps telling herself.

But now she has a secret she’s struggling to keep, and when Oakley arrives on Juniper Island determined to win her back, Neve is thrown off balance. Will Neve’s fear of having her heart broken again push Oakley away for good, or is it time for her to take a leap of faith?

Get swept away by this deliciously sweet and heartwarming tale, and spend an unforgettable Christmas on Juniper Island.
