I really enjoyed “How to Bake the Perfect Pecan Pie” so jumped at the chance to read this book, written by the same author. I didn’t originally realise that this continues the story on from that first book, relating the next interactions between Jack and Lauren. Having said that, I actually don’t think you need to have read the first book to appreciate and enjoy this one but would still recommend that you do so as they are both delightful!

Families and familial relationships can be a blessing or a real nuisance and, in this romance, there are examples of both! The path of true love never seems to follow a smooth path for Jack and Lauren – there seem to be large potholes and mole hills in their path to push them off course! There are many highs and lows along the way for both of them. Money goes missing – then mysteriously reappears . . . cooking cakes and preparing cranberries all play their part in this delectable recipe for a Christmas themed romantic story – a great, sweet, funny, festive treat.

Thanks to the author, publishers and NetGalley, too, for letting me read a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
