Series: From Manhattan with Love #3
Title: Miracle On 5th Avenue
Author: Sarah Morgan
Publisher: Mira, Harlequin (UK) Limited
Published: October 20th, 2016
This story is tagged as ‘The magical feel good Christmas read of 2016′ and it lives up to it! It is the third novel in the series and I’ve loved each and every one of them. They all concern three young ladies who have set up in business together as the ‘Urban Genies’. You want something sorting – from walking your dog to organising an event with catering and anything in between and this is the company to contact in Manhattan. They live in a brownstone apartment block and are best friends as well as business partners. They each bring their own particular strengths to the business and these complement each other brilliantly.
This story is focussed on Eva, a romantic expert chef who has been employed to bring Christmas to the Fifth Avenue apartment of a well known, successful crime writer, Lucas Blade. Lucas is a cynic, who is supposed to be in Vermont, in his isolated cabin there, writing his next blockbuster novel. However, as Eva discovers when she enters the apartment, he’s actually hiding out in his apartment! When a blizzard forces them to stay together, will her warm heart and delicious food manage to melt his frozen heart?
This is an emotive festive read, dealing with some difficult issues of grief and loss as both have lost people close to them during the festive season. As they begin to open up and share their experiences and feelings, Lucas discovers that Eva also stimulates his writing, she’s his muse and when his negativity and caustic comments drive her away he can no longer write. This is a tremendous story that takes the reader through the whole gamut of emotions. The characters are believable, relatable and could be living just down the road from you. The events are superbly portrayed so it feels like you’re witnessing them. This is definitely another scintillating festive romance, an engaging read that kept me turning the pages and one I have absolutely no hesitation in highly recommending to anyone looking for a fabulous festive romance by a highly talented author.
I was gifted a copy of this via NetGalley.

Hopeless romantic Eva loves everything about Christmas. Even if she is spending it alone housesitting a spectacular Fifth Avenue apartment. What she didn’t expect was to find the penthouse still occupied by its gorgeous–and mysterious–owner.
Bestselling crime writer, and notorious cynic, Lucas Blade has hidden himself away in his penthouse with a deadline looming. But when the blizzard of the century leaves Eva and Lucas snowbound together will Lucas finally see the magic, and happily ever after that Christmas can bring?
