This one was festive read was first published back in 2014 but it is still a fantastic story that I first read and thoroughly enjoyed in January 2015, definitely worthwhile revisiting!
Title: The Kidnapped Christmas Bride (Taming of the Sheenans Book 3)

The Sheenans – especially Trey – don’t have a great reputation. That’s never put McKeena Douglass off loving him since she was fifteen years old. Now things have changed. Trey was always impetuous and didn’t mind looking for and getting into bother. McKenna always saw through the troubled bad boy attitude and saw a totally different side to him but he let her down once too often, leaving her bringing up their sone, TJ, alone whilst he served time in prison for killing a man in a fight.
After getting released early for good behaviour, Trey returns to his hometown to discover that McKenna is getting married to someone else. Prison has changed Trey and he’s desperate to be a real Dad to his son – and to show McKenna that he’s ‘grown up’ – but he’s running out of time!
Can love find a way to reunite this family? This is definitely a different ‘second chance’ romance with lots of angst, problems and heart-melting moments. The characters are beautifully created but traumatised by the past. The author makes it easy to empathise with them – you’ll be hoping things work out all the way through! A thoroughly enjoyable, tear jerker story.
Thanks to the author, publishers and NetGalley, too, for letting me read a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
