My Review:

What a delightful trio of New Year romantic comedy novellas these turned out to be! They are all enjoyable and lovely to escape into, a great anthology for anyone looking for some lovestruck and humorous romance to read.

Melting the Millionaire’s Heart by Linda Morris

Kayla Johnston is reluctantly driving to a fundraiser she has been commanded to attend by the head of the special school where she is a teacher. She loves teaching the children but hates having to be involved in fundraising. If you want another example of why you shouldn’t text and drive, this is it! She ends up in a snowbank miles from her destination only to be rescued by a stranger . . . Talk about instant chemistry! This is a New Year’s Eve celebration with a difference but when secrets are revealed, they may put a freeze on their chance of a HEA! It is an enjoyable short story with a well formed plot. I have to say, however, that I’d love to read a novel version of this as there are some aspects I’d love to know more about (like the stranger’s brother) and more about what happens next! There again, that shows how engaging the story is!

Yours at Midnight by Robin Bielman

This is a delightful, emotionally charged, second chance romance . . . Again, there are secrets that could well prevent Quinn Sobel and Lyric Whetstone achieving their HEA but this author is so skilled a wordsmith that, even though this is also a novella, everything seems to flow beautifully, nothing seems rushed and it truly is a great page turner story. The characters and plot are well developed, the writing enthralling, with laugh out loud and heartbreak moments. No hesitation at all in highly recommending this!

One Night in Vegas by C.M. Stone

Returning to the city she grew up in, Eliza is there to visit her older brother who now works as as an emergency room surgeon. Unfortunately, there are a few too many emergencies for them to be able to spend time together so he arranges for his long time best friend to take her out. Sounds great, till you realise that best friend is Christian Yerrick, the one who she’d crushed on as a teenager and the person she’s still trying to avoid a decade later! However, accidentally running into his truck on New Year’s Eve reconnects them and the chemistry between them is enough to spark their own firework display! This is a great second chance romance, a sweet and sexy read that is an enjoyable one to escape into. If you want to read a romance that leaves you feeling warm and cosy, this is certainly one for you!

Many thanks to the publishers and NetGalley for gifting me an ARC of this novel with no obligation. This is my honest review.

Special needs teacher Kayla Johnston is supposed to be schmoozing at a swanky school fundraiser. Instead, she careens into a snowbank on the side of the road…straight into the path of a wickedly handsome stranger. When their chemistry ignites, Kayla’s New Year’s Eve begins to show some seriously sexy promise…

YOURS AT MIDNIGHT by Robin Bielman

Four years ago, Quinn Sobel gave Lyric Whetsone the night of her life…then disappeared. Now he’s back to make amends, but Lyric has a secret that could drive Quinn from her life forever.

Eliza knows plenty about sexy cowboy Christian Yerrick, the man who crushed her heart when they were kids. Back in town, she’s determined to avoid Chris altogether…until she accidentally rear-ends his truck on New Years Eve, and the fireworks between them burn hotter than the Vegas Strip…
