My Review:

Oh boy is this story a wild ride! I’d thought the first novel in this series had been an enthralling action packed fantasy adventure but this series just keeps on getting better! This is a hard-hitting, awesome sequel in which the superheroine, Eve, faces her creators, the Oraculum, nine super-powered leaders who should be working together but are being torn apart as prophecies surface indicating they’ll end up murdering each other because of her actions.

The bounty on her head is increasing and she’s still in grave danger from the Purarians and others who will stop at nothing to assassinate her. Nobody seems trustworthy, there are more threats, dangers and shocks in store in this fast paced series. This one includes some highly gruesome scenarios, beheading, horrendous torturing of friends in front of Eve, shape shifting and, thank goodness, love.

It is a story of determination, perseverance, new skills to discover, practice and develop, stalwart guardians, new friends, romance and so much more in this epic fantasy as Eve strives to be ready to save the world. Absolutely no hesitation in highly recommending this entire series- I couldn’t wait to read the next book in the series, The Revenge, after reading this and confess that I did so before writing this review – the series is so great!

Synopsis

Eve grows stronger and more powerful every day as she strives to ensure she is ready to face her destiny. But her new gifts draws the unwelcome attention of The Oraculum, the council that created her. When she is summoned to their castle she becomes aware of a rift between the council members that not only could endanger her life, but could put the whole planet at risk. Would The Oraculum really turn against her and risk everything?

But in the darkness, a light burns bright. Her love for Seth is stronger than any of her powers.

But as she battles against a new threat, will everyone Eve loves survive?
