OMG, I loved this story and am so happy to discover it is the start of a new series from this talented author! Just imagine winning 69 million dollars in the lotto . . . . what would you want to do first? Well, whilst waiting for the money to be sorted, PA Kiersten Abbott decides to get her revenge on her boss and mayhem results! Her boss is billionaire Cole Harrington and he’s so used to having his own way that he actually sacked his previous PA when she refused to reschedule her wedding which was due to happen the next day. Kiersten is used to getting everything sorted for him – from scheduling his appointments, sorting out what he’ll wear and when (even his underwear!), and being available at the end of her company mobile 24/7 to do his bidding. Now she’s going to rebel, with help from her two best friends and fellow lotto winners, that game is on! When he discovers the office staff are betting on how long it will be till he sacks her he decides to see how far he can push her until she quits, but he doesn’t know about the lotto win yet!
This is a laugh out loud, hilarious romantic comedy that I thoroughly enjoyed. She does nothing detrimental to his business or employees but some of the antics are superb. There are brilliant secondary characters, too – especially the best friends of the main characters and I hope those five will have their stories told in future books in this series. If you’re looking for a light-hearted romance with great characters, lively, witty humour and highly entertaining then grab yourself a copy of this fantastic, fun, sweet read and be prepared to enjoy yourself!
I requested and received a copy of this novel, via NetGalley, with no obligation. This is my honest review after choosing to read it.
After personal assistant Kiersten Abbott wins sixty-nine million dollars in the lotto, she suddenly has more than enough money to quit her impossibly demanding job. But where’s the fun in that? She decides to stay and exact a little revenge on her insufferable ass of a boss.
Billionaire Cole Harrington quickly figures out something’s afoot with his usually agreeable personal assistant. When he finds out about the office pool betting on how long it’ll take him to fire her, he decides to spice things up and see how far he can push her until she quits.
The game is on, with everyone waiting to see who will crack first. But the bet sparks a new dynamic between them, and soon they realize they just might have crossed that fine line between hate and love.
