I’ve enjoyed every story I’ve read by this talented author and this is no exception. I’d tag this as a bodyguard romance. The heroine is Ivy Danforth. She’s been brought up by her father after her mother’s untimely death, details of which are included in the story so I don’t want to share here – enough to say it was a tragic situation. Her father is a Colonel and very protective of Ivy. However, Ivy wants a taste of freedom, a chance to get out from under her father’s protective eye and has taken the summer off to travel through Australia, working her way around.

She’s working in a bar, unaware that Dean, the attractive bartender, is actually Seth Rodrigo, someone who was in the Special Forces and is now working undercover to keep an eye on her for her father. When she witnesses a shooting, she and Seth are placed under witness protection – together, alone, fighting their mutual attraction and trying to survive! What will happen when she discovers his connection to her Dad? Will they give in to their attraction? Do they stand a chance of having a HEA together?

This is a suspense filled, humorous and steamy romance, a real page-turner that is a quick and engaging read. Ivy is a somewhat naive heroine, whilst Seth is a strong, alpha with a heart of gold. At times I wasn’t quite sure who was out to get Ivy – there are so many potential enemies around her, thank goodness Seth is there to protect her!

I requested and received a copy of this novel, via NetGalley. This is my honest review after choosing to read it.

Sign: Scorpio

Ivy Danforth is out from under her Colonel father’s overprotective control, and she’s making it count. Big time. She’s taken the summer off to travel through Australia with her bestie and experiencing all that life has to offer—when you’re not under constant military surveillance. She wants to end her summer with some sexy fun, and she has just the hottie in mind.

Seth Rodrigo is ex-Special Forces working undercover and keeping an eye on Ivy as a special favor to her father. All he has to do is not give the game away and reveal who he really is. And especially not give into the hunger that’s burning through his careful control…

Then they’re forced into protective custody. Alone. Together. For four days.

And this time, the Colonel’s daughter isn’t taking no for an answer…
