Somewhere to review books I'm reading without giving away any spoilers!
Series: The Moore Sisters of Montana #1
Title: Christmas Glitter
Author: Ann B Harrison
Publisher: Tule Publishing
Published: November 13th, 2017
After experiencing life changing events, people have the choice of hiding away from them or facing them head on. Dakota Moore has had just such a traumatic series of events and she’s determined to rebuild her life once more, facing life head on. She’s moved to Cherry Lake to start a new life for herself, eager to make the most of opportunities and even volunteering to organise the community’s annual Christmas tree gala.
Adam Clements has suffered injuries which could curtail his career as a top pro-soccer player but has returned home to help his Mum run the family business whilst his Dad recovers from a heart attack. He’s also re-evaluating his life and options . . . Neither Dakota nor Adam are looking for a relationship but fate has other plans for these two, including adding some Christmas sparkle to both their lives!
This is an easy paced romance, one that involves a close-knit community and two people getting to know each other in a realistic time frame. The author’s descriptions are evocative and, at times, I could really imagine the beautiful ornaments that Dakota created. Cody is a brilliant secondary character who has a significant impact on events. It is a heart-warming, festive romance, delightful to escape into – especially at this time of year! It is the first in a new series and I can’t wait to read future stories by this author or in this series.
I requested and received a copy of this novel, via NetGalley. This is my honest review after choosing to read it.
After a rough year involving a serious car accident, painful recovery and broken engagement, Dakota Moore moves to Cherry Lake to rebuild her life. To embrace her new community, she volunteers to coordinate the annual Christmas tree gala.
Adam Clements has come home to help his mother run the family business while his father recovers from a heart attack. For the last decade, he’s been a high-flying soccer player, enjoying the life that comes with his popularity. But something is missing and he can’t put his finger on it… until he returns to Cherry Lake and remembers the feeling of home.
Adam tries to keep his distance because he knows he’ll be leaving, but he can’t deny his attraction to Dakota. With the countdown to Christmas on, can Dakota convince Adam that his home is right there in Cherry Lake, with her?
