Somewhere to review books I'm reading without giving away any spoilers!
Title: The Wife Between Us
Author: Greer Hendricks, Sarah Pekkanen
Publisher: St Martin’s Press
Published: January 9th, 2018
The story draws the reader in from the Prologue and takes them on a journey so full of twists and turns you’re never sure what on earth might be revealed or happen – and that applies all the way through to the Epilogue! It is a psychological thriller, having a series of threads that are so tangled you’ll not sort them out till the very last page and even then you’ll wonder what you’ve missed!
It is a story of double dealing, deception, lies and love . . . . an engaging read to keep you guessing. Told from the alternating points of view of Vanessa Thompson and Emma, the younger woman Vanessa’s ex-husband is planning to marry, it is a story of stalking, manipulations and betrays. The blurb warns you not to make assumptions – and that’s certainly advice I’d give. There are times when the tangles get knotted rather than sorted, and readers may feel like cutting their way through, but persevere to discover even more intrigues and mysteries . . . .Definitely different, it truly lives up to the tagline –
I requested and received a copy of this novel, via NetGalley. This is my honest review after choosing to read it.
When you read this book, you will make many assumptions.
You will assume you are reading about a jealous ex-wife.
You will assume she is obsessed with her replacement – a beautiful, younger woman who is about to marry the man they both love.
You will assume you know the anatomy of this tangled love triangle.
Twisted and deliciously chilling, Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen’s The Wife Between Us exposes the secret complexities of an enviable marriage – and the dangerous truths we ignore in the name of love.
Read between the lies.
