Somewhere to review books I'm reading without giving away any spoilers!

This or That Book Tag

I hadn’t done this and decided to take up the invitation from Kris at Boston Book Reader and the creator of this tag is  ayundabhuwana’s blog

  1. Reading on the bed or the couch?

Neither – usually in my very comfortable swivel chair, in the car whilst my husband is driving or anywhere I can sit or stand whilst waiting for anything!

2. Male Main character or female main character?

I don’t mind, though I often prefer it when a story has both!

3. Sweet snacks or salty snacks when your reading?

I try not to snack but do succumb to temptation and then it is usually something sweet.

4. Trilogies or Quartets?

Trilogies quite often, though some of the series which I’ve read lately have had six or eight books in them!

5. First person point of view or third person point of view?

Like Kris, I don’t really have a preference on this one, though I do like consistency rather than changing from one to the other in any story.

6. Reading at night or in the morning?

Both – and any time during the day or evening when life lets me!

7. Libraries or bookstores?

I confess I’ve not been using either much lately (huge thanks to NetGalley, authors and publishers) but I love to browse in bookstores – amazing what you find sometimes!

8. Books that make you laugh or cry?

Probably ones to make me laugh but I definitely enjoy ones that make me feel and preferably leave me with a smile on my face at the end!

9. Black books covers or white book covers?

Most of my recent books have been on my Kindle and I rarely see the covers but I tend to look at brighter covers, so white.

10. Character driven or plot driven?

I enjoy a great plot but that can also be driven by the main characters so I’m somewhat on the fence for this one!

I tag anyone else who hasn’t done this tag and look forward to reading your answers!

Browsing in a bookstore is one of my all time favorite things to do, it always helps to calm me. I’m so glad you decided to do this tag!

I thought it was a good idea – glad you did it first! I enjoy browsing in a bookstore – especially when my husband is there to carry my purchases afterwards – very rare I can resist getting something, great books are just so tempting! 🙂

This is a fun one! I used to go the library and bookstore at least once a week, but then we moved. While I love New England, one of the downsides of living in a state with a low population is less than optimal library services and the nearest decent bookstore is 30+ minutes away. So, I don’t go much anymore. Portland has a great library, but the parking fees are ridiculous. More than anything, I miss browsing the shelves!
