From the very start this is an action packed paranormal novel with well developed characters and a totally engaging plot. It is one of those books that, once you’ve started, you really don’t want to put down until you’ve found out what happens – so don’t say I haven’t warned you! Renny Landry, a red wolf, is desperately trying to reach Alphaville before her pursuers capture her. After escaping from her stalker, Geoffrey Hilliard, he has sent his coyote shifters to bring her back to him. When she has to abandon her car she runs, striving to reach the small town which is reputed to be a haven for shifters, regardless of what they shift into.

When she’s on the outskirts of the town the coyotes catch up with her and it is only when Mick Fischer intervenes that she escapes them. Mick is a wolf shifter who moved to Alphaville after his mate was killed. Wolf shifters usually only have one mate but his wolf recognises Renny as his mate, now he just needs to protect her and convince her that he isn’t another Geoffrey!

A fast paced, enthralling read, this paranormal romance has the whole of Alphaville in danger from the coyote shifters who are still determined to capture Renny. The chemistry between Renny and Mick is off the charts but can he and the town keep her safe and thwart the coyotes?

There are many brilliant secondary characters in this book, each with their own reason for being in Alphaville. I really enjoyed how welcoming the other shifters were and how Renny’s skills are quickly put to use. This is a suspense filled read which I thoroughly enjoyed. I have no hesitation in highly recommending it to anyone who enjoys paranormal romantic suspense involving a great community and having a pacy storyline. I can’t wait to read more in this series!

I requested and received a copy of this novel. This is my honest review after choosing to read it.

WELCOME TO ALPHAVILLE, where the she-wolves and alpha-males play. . .for keeps.

Renny Landry is a wolf on the run. Pursued by a shapeshifting stalker and his slobbering pack of killer coyotes, she is forced to flee her job as a librarian to find sanctuary in the wooded hills of Alpha, Washington. A well-secluded safe space for troubled shifters, Alpha is Renny’s last hope. But the first person she meets there is a gorgeous alpha male with fiery eyes, fierce tattoos, and one ferocious appetite—for her…

Mick Fischer thought he left his past behind when he moved to Alpha. But fate has a way of biting him in the tail when a female wolf shows up on his property. Wounded, desperate—and disarmingly hot—Renny brings out the snarling, protective alpha beast in Mick like no other woman he’s known. Can these two haunted, hunted wolves manage to mate for life…even as the deadliest past demons howl at their heels?

Great review Elaine. This is the second positive review I have read from my blogger friends. Not my usual genre, but I am going to give it a try.
