This is an endearing romance involving two people who have very different reasons for being wary of romance. She is Catrina Thomas and her beloved husband tragically died, leaving her a widow. He is Dr Finn Foley, a paediatrician whose wife left him and their newborn daughter, Piper, shortly after giving birth to her. Both have moved to live in the delightful Lighthouse Bay and have seen each other on the beach but although there is definitely an attraction there between them their past experience makes both of them resistant to romance.
What a super setting, great community and lovely, heartwarming story this proved to be. The romance develops slowly but both acknowledge that Finn is still married and how can they have a future together until she is found? There are some details of different births in amongst this and it has a delightful ending. The story will have you going through the whole gamut of emotions as you read it. If you enjoy contemporary medical romances you’ll probably love this one!
I requested and was given a copy of this novel, via Mills & Book Insiders and NetGalley, with no obligation. This is my honest review of the book after choosing to read it.
