Heartwarming tale of ‘Santa’ and love….
What a fun yet emotive festive read this proved to be! When the blizzard that caused pop star Jackson Wilder to crash he took refuge in the horse barn, still dressed in the Santa costume he’d worn to a photoshoot. Just image a six year old discovering him asleep in there just days before Christmas . . . well that’s what Ollie did in this story! His Mum is a vet, Miranda O’Keefe, and she’s bringing Ollie up on her own and running a project to rescue abandoned, ill treated and unwanted horses. Ollie asks Santa for a very special present for Christmas – that Twisty is healed. The storm prevents Jackson leaving but when Miranda doesn’t recognise him and attraction grows between them maybe fate has a special Christmas present in store for all three of them!
This is a heartwarming festive read with an especially cute six year old as the main catalyst for all that happens. The characters are all well developed and it is a story of healing and love in this special season, a lovely, sweet romance to escape into that will leave you with a smile on your face – I have no hesitation in highly recommending this whatever the season!
I requested and was given a copy of this book, via NetGalley. This is my honest review of the book after choosing to read it.
All pop star Jackson Wilder wants this Christmas is a few weeks out of the spotlight in a rented cabin in the Colorado mountains. But when a blizzard leaves him stranded on a country road on his way out of town—and still wearing the Santa costume from a last-minute commercial shoot—he takes shelter in a nearby horse barn to wait out the storm.
Miranda O’Keefe will be lucky to get a wreath up on her door this year. Between raising her six year-old son, Ollie, running her vet practice, and getting her horse rescue project off the ground—Christmas will have to take a back seat. But when Ollie tells Miranda he’s found Santa Claus asleep in their horse barn—and has asked Santa to heal his beloved rescue horse Twisty—the self-reliant single mother finds herself asking for a stranger’s help to grant her son’s Christmas wish.
But when attraction turns to affection, will love come to the rescue this holiday for Miranda and Jackson too?
