My Review:

This is an action packed, contemporary, romantic suspense with two great families with starring roles.

Dr Paul Reilly volunteers to work in mission hospitals abroad although his normal role is in a Chicago hospital. He suspects that one of the medicines he has been prescribing has had a detrimental affect on his patients and sets out to investigate why, sending samples back for his brother to check. When those samples and the results are stolen, they suspect the drug company are endeavouring to thwart their investigations. Concerned about what he’s getting into, Paul calls up the only person he can trust to advise him – Simone Black, the woman who broke his heart. As the two meet, they discover that others are after them and so begins their desperate race to find the evidence and stop more people being killed by the rogue medication. Can they keep themselves safe and stop the pharmaceutical company selling unsafe medicines? What will happen as the two work together again? Can they give their love a second chance?

You just have to love the Black family and the Reilly brothers! They’re a superb group, each with their own quirks but all filled with love and determination to support and protect as well as tease each other. This story is fast paced and full of suspense but also has some laugh out loud moments, too. I really enjoyed reading it and have no hesitation in highly recommending it to anyone who enjoys contemporary romantic suspense. I’m really looking forward to reading more in this series in future!

Many thanks to the publishers for gifting me a copy of this book (via NetGalley) which I have chosen to read and this is my honest review after doing so.

Title: Risk Everything

Author: Janie Crouch

Genre: Romance

Harlequin Imprint: Intrigue

Publication Date: October 1st, 2019

Hosted by: Lady Amber’s Reviews & PR

My Review:

This is the second story in a series but works well as a standalone, too. Computer coding and hacker geek, Bree Daniels, is getting married to Deputy Tanner Dempsey in a couple of weeks and everyone is determined to help make this the wedding everyone will remember – though the pressure is getting to Bree who is more reticent and is definitely not looking forward to saying her vows in front of about 500 folk. However, there’s danger on the way for this couple, deadly danger which starts with a fire at the women’s centre, New Journeys. They suspect one of the shelter’s families is being targetted but proving it and protecting them from her abusive ex and his friends is going to prove difficult – and could stop the wedding!

This is a fast paced, suspense filled romance where you’re never sure what will happen next. The characters are great and you really have to feel for Bree as she struggles to compose her vows and is dreading the big day’s audience. The community is brilliant, especially how they come together to help and protect their own. Tanner and his brother, Noah, are superb heroes and I really hope Noah and Marilyn get together properly in a future book in this series – and her children are delightful, too!

I have no hesitation in highly recommending this to anyone who enjoys reading edge of your seat romantic suspense! Many thanks to the publishers for gifting me a copy of this book (via NetGalley) which I have chosen to read and this is my honest review after doing so.

Title: The Greek’s Billion-Dollar Baby

Author: Clare Connelly

Genre: Romance

Harlequin Imprint: Presents

Publication Date: October 1st, 2019

Hosted by: Lady Amber’s Reviews & PR

My Review:

This is in the style of a Cinderella romance. Hannah has been let down by the people she should have been able to trust and rely on for love. Now she’s celebrating New Year’s Eve at a party in a hotel in Greece. That’s where she literally bumps into a Greek adonis and the attraction is instant – so much so that they agree to have one night together. He’s an extremely wealthy widower, riddled with guilt after the murder of his wife and son four years ago. He’s been celibate ever since but can’t resist this stranger. After an unforgettable night they go their separate ways . . . until Hannah finds him again to inform him about the consequences of their time together….. He’s determined to keep her and their baby safe but is also adamant that he will never love Hannah….

This is a steamy romance with a couple who have both suffered tragic events in their lives. Can they help each other heal and find a love that lasts together? There are some heartbreaking and heartwarming moments in this fairy tale contemporary romance which is a lovely, easy read story to escape into.

Many thanks to the publishers for gifting me a copy of this book (via NetGalley) which I have chosen to read and this is my honest review after doing so.
