During the past week I have read three delightful festive romances from Tule Publishing and thought I’d let you know about all three in this special post.

My Review:

This is a delightful second chance romance where high school sweethearts have the chance for adult love together, but only with the assistance of a matchmaking grandmother! It is a lovely story with great characters, lots of love and a heartwarming festive read. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting the members of this close knit community and discovering just how Charlotte feels about returning and spending time with Macon again. They need to learn to trust each other with their hearts and work together if they are to have any chance in future but acknowledging how they feel to themselves will be hard enough to start with! Her dreams of travelling and his of staying home split them before, do they still have the same dreams or will love help them find a way for both of them to follow their dreams?

I was gifted a copy of this lovely festive romance, chose to read it and this is my honest review after doing so.

Blurb:

The first and only wish on his Christmas List – the One Who Got Away

Macon Draeger has loved Charlotte for as long as he can remember. While he’s thrilled that she’s back in Last Stand, Texas, he suspects she won’t stay long. Charlotte has always had a wandering spirit, with dreams that carry her far from their hometown.

When Charlotte Kraus returns to run her grandmother’s flower shop for the holidays, she never expected to feel so at home and inspired. On a whim, she decides to transform the simple flower shop into a flower cafe. The project quickly spirals out of her control, but Macon, her high school sweet heart – a skilled and in demand handy man – steps in to help. Was he this tall, dark, handsome and tempting when they were teens? Charlotte is wondering about a lot of things by the time they ring in the New Year.

Spending time with Charlotte reminds Macon of what he truly wants in life – love and a family of his own. Can he gain his heart’s desire this Christmas?

My Review:

Wow, what a surprising, highly charged, emotional story this turned out to be!

As teenagers JT and Meredith were attracted to each other but never did anything serious about it. However, after she told him she was pregnant with his brother’s child and then his brother died in prison he hasn’t been back to the ranch where they both lived, leaving to become a successful lawyer in NYC. Now, however, he is forced to return because his mother’s long term partner, who was also Meredith’s father, has died and left the ranch between the two women in trust for Meredith’s son.

Coming back re-opens old wounds but it is also an opportunity to learn that assumptions made in the past may not be the truth and that if only schemes and plots can be thwarted they can give love another chance in this delightful second-chance romance. It is filled with shocking surprises and is an emotional roller coaster read that I thoroughly enjoyed and have no hesitation in highly recommending!

I was gifted a copy of this heartwarming festive romance, chose to read it and this is my honest review after doing so.

Blurb:

Just when he thought he knew everything, love taught him the ultimate lesson

J.T. Guzman still blames Meredith Hart and her father for his brother’s death. Bitter and grieving, he left the beloved ranch vowing never to return. Now a successful NYC attorney, he’s forced to return home to protect his mother’s financial interests when his step-father dies and divides the ranch between J.T.’s mother and Meredith in trust for her son. Seeing Meredith again hurts more than he imagined.

Meredith has loved J.T. for as long as she can remember. As teens, he barely noticed her clumsy, youthful attempts to get his attention, except to wrongly condemn her on flimsy evidence. Now that her father is dead, she’s willing to do anything including work alongside him, if it means she can hold on to her son’s heritage. Finding forgiveness is a dream she’s also not quite willing to abandon.

Drawn back into an emotional entanglement he thought he’d left behind, J.T. discovers that, far from being the enemy, Meredith may become the woman he loves.

My Review:

The Martin family live on a ranch near Last Stand, Texas. As an officer of the law, Susannah Martin saw much heartbreak in the line of duty and she actually brought some of the troubled youngsters into her family, including Ethan Thompson. Her untimely illness and death devastated them all. He has always done all he can to help the Martins and the two other boys they saved who are like brothers to each other. However, Ethan has always tried to stay slightly outside of everything in an effort to protect his own heart from more heartbreak, though he was always attracted to Susannah’s daughter Pen and now she’s home she’s even more irresistible! He maintains a calm facade that hides a tumultuous, emotional turmoil from the world, a turmoil packed with fears regarding his father, a dread of hurting or losing anyone he loves and so much more.

When widow Pen Martin-Wakefield returns to her family home with her three young daughters, she’s still determined to help look after everyone as she did after her beloved Mum died. She really struggles with the festive season, though her family don’t know it. The only person she can open up to is her teenage crush, Ethan. After she falls and breaks her arm, Ethan moves into the family home to help but as determined as he is to resist his attraction to Pen, she’s just as tenacious in her determination to get him to give their mutual attraction and love a chance. Will she win his heart? Will her daughters help or hinder this romance? Can love find a way for them all despite his fears?

This is a story about struggling with grief, overcoming fears, learning to open up to love and finding romance. It is a brilliant family festive read and a great addition to this series – I’m really looking forward to reading more about this family in future!

Blurb:

Will he face his past or run from his future?

Ethan Thompson has been a part of the Martin family since he was a troubled teen and Susannah Martin saved him. He’s always done everything in his power to help the Martins, especially oldest daughter Penelope. But he’s always made sure to keep himself just separate enough to safeguard his heart against the straight-talking beauty.

Pen Martin-Wakefield moved home to Last Stand, Texas, with her three girls hoping it would give them all a fresh start after her husband’s tragic death. She’s ready to move on, and as she deals with the stresses of a holiday season and a broken arm, she realizes Ethan is always the one she’s leaned on.

Ethan’s determined to resist Pen and her girls. He’s got too many secrets and scars to be any good for them, but as a Christmas in Last Stand works its magic, Ethan begins to find out just how tenacious Pen is and how lonely his heart has been.
