Bluebell’s Christmas Magic by Marie Laval #5* #Review #BlogTour

A gorgeous new Christmas story from the author of best selling novel Little Pink Taxi
A flick of a feather duster and a sprinkle of Christmas magic …
Cassie Bell is used to mess. Her cleaning business, Bluebell Cleaning, is well known in the Cumbrian village of Red Moss. However, now it’s almost Christmas and Cassie has a slightly messier situation to deal with than she’s used to.

She’s been hired to help Stefan Lambert, an injured army helicopter pilot who’s staying at the local Belthorn Manor whilst he recovers. Stefan resents Cassie’s interference and is definitely not looking for Christmas cheer. But Cassie prides herself on sparkling surfaces – so, can she bring some festive sparkle to Stefan’s life too?

My Review

I totally agree with the tag that this really is a gorgeous new Christmas story – it is one that I absolutely loved reading and will be staying on my kindle to re-read in future.

Cassie Bell has taken over her mother’s cleaning business, Bluebell Cleaning. She cleans for the elderly, the rich and the holiday homes in the Cumbrian village of Red Moss where she lives with her grandad. Her only full time employee has recently left, leaving Cassie with all the work to do, including looking after Stefan Lambert, an injured French army helicopter pilot who is staying at Belthorn Manor for the festive season. He’s feeling anything but Christmassy but Cassie is full of festive cheer and determined to help Stefan enjoy his stay, even if he’s initially rude and grumpy!

It was great getting to know the eclectic mix of characters living in Red Moss. There are some to love and others to be wary of. There are plenty of family dramas, some mysterious burglaries, a boss who is too handsy, dreams to be rekindled and love to be found in this fascinating page turner. It even has a surprising historic death mystery to be solved with letters and a journal to give clues to what happened. It is a story which I didn’t want to put down until I’d finished reading it, a great one to escape into whatever the weather or season and one that I have no hesitation in highly recommending.

I requested and was gifted a copy of this book and this is my honest review after absolutely loving reading it.
