Hunter’s Blood by Val Penny #Review #MurderMystery #BlogTour

DI Hunter Wilson never has just one problem to solve.

Three elderly women he knows have died in mysterious circumstances. Hunter appears to be the only link.

A little girl goes missing on a cold winter’s night. When his team discovers cocaine hidden at the farm where she was living, the search becomes even more urgent.

Why did the women die? And what did the child witness?

Hunter must find the answers to these questions to ensure his family and his city are safe.

My Review

What a great series this is, one that I’m thoroughly enjoying reading! DI Hunter Wilson is a well developed character, with his own flaws that add to the plot, intrigue and mystery as the story develops. I found it a real page turner that kept me guessing, surmising, changing my mind and being fascinated as well.

There are many links between the key characters and between the different crimes involved, too, but it keeps you guessing as more is gradually discovered. The police characters are diverse, human and believable with great interactions, dialogue and relationships. There are murders, mysteries, a missing child, drugs and more in this intriguing crime thriller. I have no hesitation in highly recommending it and admit that I’m really looking forward to reading more stories involving DI Hunter Wilson in future!

I requested and was gifted a copy of this book and this is my honest review after choosing to read it and finding it a fascinating, intriguing read.
