Dreaming of Verona by TA Williams #5*Review #Contemporary #Romance #BlogTour

Title: Dreaming of Verona

Author: TA Williams

My Review:

No doubt about it, this is another brilliant story from this highly talented author, I loved escaping into it and I’m now dreaming of visiting Verona myself! My advice is get yourself a copy to read of this and any other book by this author and read them rather than my review….

This story has fantastic settings in and around Venice and Verona, lots of mouth watering, tasty Italian food, plenty of twists and turns and more than one romance. It is an enthralling read and some of the descriptions of windsurfing brought back happy memories to me – I met my husband whilst learning to windsurf! I love how the characters develop as the story progresses, it really feels like you get to know them and empathise with them. There are dilemmas, mysteries, potential romances and new opportunities for the brave to take. There is, of course, a lovely Labrador, too! The people, places, meals, events and activities are brought vividly to life making it to imagine being there and seeing it all unfold. I have absolutely no hesitation in highly recommending this book (and any others by this author). I confess that he is one of my go to authors whenever I want to read something that will take me away from reality to a fantastic setting, have lots of tasty food descriptions, keep me engaged throughout and leave me feeling good when I finish it – and this story is no exception.

I requested and was gifted a copy of this book and couldn’t wait to read it!

Verona is the City of Love. But will Suzie find romance there or, like Romeo and Juliet, will it all end in tears?

When Suzie is hired to accompany spoiled, abrasive Lady Alexandra Tedburn on an all-expenses paid holiday to Italy, she fears the trip will be a disaster.

But she soon discovers there’s more to Alex than shopping and tantrums, and she’s determined to help her realise her potential – against Alex’s authoritarian father’s wishes.

As they settle in Verona, Suzie can’t stop thinking about local artist Michael, who is still mourning the tragic death of his wife. With Suzie’s future uncertain, and Michael’s past holding him back, it seems there’s no hope for romance in the city of star-crossed lovers… or is there?

A gorgeously uplifting and moving story, Dreaming of Verona is the perfect read for fans of Holly Martin, Tilly Tennant and Jenny Oliver.

Author Bio –

I’m a man. And a pretty old man as well. I did languages at university a long time ago and then lived and worked in France and Switzerland before going to Italy for seven years as a teacher of English. My Italian wife and I then came back to the UK with our little daughter (now long-since grown up) where I ran a big English language school for many years. We now live in a sleepy little village in Devonshire. I’ve been writing almost all my life but it was only seven years ago that I finally managed to find a publisher who liked my work enough to offer me my first contract.

The fact that I am now writing romantic comedy is something I still find hard to explain. My early books were thrillers and historical novels. Maybe it’s because there are so many horrible things happening in the world today that I feel I need to do my best to provide something to cheer my readers up. My books provide escapism to some gorgeous locations and, as a writer, I obviously have to go there in person and check them out first. I love my job…

So glad you like his books, too, Carla. He’s definitely one of my go-to favourite authors, as you’ve noticed. If you’re going to endeavour to read his backlist . . . . you’ve a lot to catch up on then! However, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed reading every book I’ve read by him and suspect you will do, too – can’t recommend them all highly enough!
