Title: Her Purrfect Match
Series: Purrfect Pairs # 1
Author: Robyn Neeley
Publisher: Tule Publishing
Published: May 12, 2020
This is a fun, laugh out loud, contemporary romance with a matchmaking Aunt and cat, Belle! Now the Aunt has sadly passed away but she’s left her honeybee farm in Honey Springs, California to her niece, Cassie Wilkerson. Cassie used to love staying there until her aunt and Mum fell out and she was whisked away from there and her teen love, Nick Porter. She returns for the reading of her aunt’s will, only to discover she’s expected to stay for three weeks and act as the interim Mayor during that time, taking over her aunt’s responsibilities……
Nick has been working as the manager of the honeybee farm for more than eight years and had been led to believe it was being left to him. He’s distraught at the unexpected change in the will and immediately resigns. However, the attraction between Cassie and Nick is as strong as ever and Belle is on the case to try to reunite them. Can she help this high power ad exec reconnect with her farming roots and her first love?
This is a fun story in a small community, peppered with some brilliant characters, great community spirit and laughs galore. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and hope to read more stories involving Belle the matchmaking cat in future!
I requested and was gifted a copy of this book and this is my honest review after choosing to read it and giggling my way through it!
Anything is paw-sible…
Ad exec Cassie Wilkerson is on the fast track to a Manhattan corner office when she’s suddenly called to quaint Honey Springs, California. She hasn’t visited the town since she was 16, but her aunt has passed away and inexplicably left Cassie her honeybee farm, her matchmaking cat, Belle, and the job of acting mayor.
But Cassie’s quick trip to sort this out turns into a three-week stay. This fish-out-of-water needs the help of the farm’s foreman and her former crush, Nick Porter, to win over the locals. With a few nudges from Belle, old feelings rekindle, and her former fast-paced life no longer seems quite as attractive as a second chance in Honey Springs.
Then Cassie discovers Nick’s been quietly crafting honey-based skin care items, which could be an ideal new product line for one of her big-city clients. But when Nick realizes she’s been making big plans behind his back, he thinks he’ll never be good enough for ambitious Cassie. Can she prove that a future with him in it is all she really needs?
