My Review:

This is a contemporary romance set in a lovely small town where everyone knows everyone else….

When Emma Johnson moved to Kurrajong Crossing she never dreamt that one of the first things that would happen is that the locals would be betting on just who would date her first, making her the talk of the town! She isn’t interested in dating or romance though after personal tragedy has made her more than wary – that’s why she’s moved here in the first place. However, fate and the Jameson twins may have something different to say to her as both become her friends, even if Gabe is much more wary than his sister. As the temperature rises, so does the attraction between Gabe and Emma but they’re both reticent because of their past experiences – maybe they’ll need help from a calf called Ralph!

This is a great story to escape into with a whole community of fantastic characters, plenty of laughter and lots of love. The Jameson family are brilliant – and so is Pete! There are plenty of obstacles in the path of true love in this heartwarming story to keep you wondering if they can work everything out in the end. It is a delightful read and I can’t wait to read more about the folks in Kurrajong Crossing again in future and catch up on what happens to Emma, Gabe and everyone else!

I requested and was gifted a copy of this book and this is my honest review after choosing to read it and thoroughly enjoying doing so.

Moving to this small town might just be a huge mistake.

City girl Emma Johnson moves to Kurrajong Crossing determined to escape her troubled past and forge a bright future filled with new friendships, experiences, and even a pet cow. When the town starts a bet to see which of the many eligible bachelors around town will take her out first, she plays along. They’ll figure out soon enough that she isn’t interested in romance or relationships. Not now, not ever.

Country vet and cattleman Gabe Jameson knows the gossip surrounding pretty newcomer Emma will taper off eventually. In the meantime, he’s willing to lend a hand and help with emergency repairs to her rickety old house. It’s not as if it’s a date, or that he wants it to turn into something more. Pretty women are trouble, and Emma is stunning. Besides, he’s sworn off love forever.

It seems they might have something in common after all…
