Fab festive 2nd chance romance – Christmas Reunion in Paris by Liz Fielding

Parisian reunion
With the one that got away!

Celebrity chef James Harrington never expected to find himself face-to-face with Chloe, his first love, again… Especially, with her working as a chambermaid at his luxury hotel! Their chemistry’s as strong as ever, but she’s hiding a secret. Can James convince Chloe that their love is worth taking a chance on – again?

Katie Fforde wrote, when honouring her with the Romantic Novelists’ Association’s Outstanding Achievement Award in 2019 said – “Liz Fielding’s books, with their warmth, humour and emotion, have charmed millions of readers. She is a true star of the romantic fiction genre.”

My Review:

This is a fabulous second chance romance with teen lovers who were forced apart by her father’s actions reunited accidentally when she is cleaning the Parisian hotel room he is staying in. She runs away but he tracks her down and their attraction is as strong as every but she has so many secrets about what happened when her father took her away from their boarding school and prevented them seeing each other. Can they rebuild their romance or will fate step in to part them again?

This is a story that has so many surprising twists and turns in it. James believes he’s doing everything right to help protect Chloe but can’t see that he’s not listening to her or really asking her opinion, instead trying to do everything for her – just like her father did. I like how James’ twin sister helps him realise where he’s going wrong and what happens after that. I hope the missing person is discovered in a future story and look forward to reading more about the Harrington siblings in future!

Thank you to Mills and Boon and NetGalley for my copy of this book which I have voluntarily read and honestly reviewed.

Thank you so much for hosting Chloe and James on your blog, Elaine. I’m so glad you enjoyed their story and, maybe, the missing person will get a book of her own one day.
