Somewhere to review books I'm reading without giving away any spoilers!
Newly promoted head teacher Anna Dalton needs a Christmas miracle – and fast! After years of sitting through excruciatingly dull Christmas productions, complete with crying children and sleeping parents, she’s determined Riddlescomb Primary School will put on a Nativity to remember.
Enter bad boy actor Dan Ramsey, recently axed from the lead role in a TV drama and in desperate need of cleaning up his image or he’ll never work again.
Dan can flash those heart-stopping dimples all he likes, Anna tells herself she isn’t going to fall for them. She knows why he’s decided to volunteer at the school, and it’s for the good of his career…not his soul.
But as Anna and Dan are forced to work together for the sake of a truly magical Christmas for the children, sparks fly and they can’t help but wonder what will happen once the festive season is over…
As a primary teacher for several decades, this was a story I really looked forward to reading – the annual Christmas production usually either goes brilliantly or dramatically from the point of view of staff involved and this one is no exception! This is a heartwarming story of an actor returning to his primary school in the hopes of redeeming his image after being killed off in the soap he’d starred in for six years, divorcing his wife and having some dire publicity from her and his actions. He’s volunteering to help give acting lessons to the pupils and his idea that he can sweet talk the staff is quickly quashed when the Head teacher, Anna Dalton sees straight through his act. However, there are also sparks flying between these two and with her brilliant daughter acting as an encouraging matchmaker is there any chance of them having a HEA together?
This is a great read with plenty of laughter, more than one romances, some great aspiring actors amongst the pupils, a teacher in need of a makeover and happiness, family drama and even a sheep and two dogs! It is a heartwarming story of loves lost, moving on, relationships, dreams and love. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this festive story and have absolutely no hesitation in highly recommending it, it certainly put a big smile on my face!
I have voluntarily read this book and this is my honest review after finding it such a delightful festive read.

Author Bio –
A former pharmacist, I’m now a medical writer who also writes romance. Some days a racing heart is a medical condition, others it’s the reaction to a hunky hero.
I’ve two sons and a husband who asks every Valentine’s Day whether he has to buy a card (yes, he does), so any romance is all in my head. Then again, his unstinting support of my career change proves love isn’t always about hearts and flowers – and heroes come in many disguises.
