My Review:

Family secrets and love are at the heart of this surprising festive romance.

Jay is travelling to Last Stand for the festive season with the intention of discovering more about his half sister, Amelia Corbyn, whose very existence he’s only recently discovered. En route he comes to the aid of Zara Mitchell, who is eight months pregnant and just moving to start a new life for her and her baby (nicknamed Sprout) in Last Stand. Despite her pregnancy, the two are attracted to each other. However, he is shocked to discover that Zara is moving there to be near her best friend, his half-sister, Amelia. He doesn’t want to lie and nor does he want to let Amelia know just who he is until he’s had time to get to know them . . . but he never expected to feel so much for the stranger he rescued. What will happen when they all know the truth? Will they have any chance of a HEA together?

Gosh, the trauma of Jay’s childhood, the discoveries he’s made and the contrasts between his, Zara’s and Amelia’s upbringing and family are all brilliantly portrayed in this emotive story. It is a fabulous, festive read about healing, fresh starts, love and life with great characters, plenty of drama and romance. I really enjoyed returning to Last Stand and catching up with the Corbyn family again but believe this story would also work well as a standalone. It is a fantastic, festive romance and I have no hesitation in highly recommending it.

Thank you to Tule Publishing for my copy of this book which I have voluntarily read and honestly reviewed.

They have more than one surprise in store this Christmas Eve…

Zara Mitchell is about to be a single mother. After finding out her baby’s father lied about everything, she’s decidedly on her own. But when her car breaks down outside Last Stand, Texas, she’s rescued by the most beautiful man she’s laid eyes on. He’s her knight in shining armor, and Zara is starting to believe in fairy tales.

J.T. Williams has a charmed life, or so he thought until his parents’ marriage deteriorated and exposed a half-sister, Amelia, in Last Stand. Intent to make up for his father’s shortcomings, he sets out to meet her but is derailed when he comes across a pregnant beauty stranded outside of town. And when he learns that Zara and Amelia are best friends, he impulsively decides to hide his identity to get to know both women without added pressure.

As Christmas nears, J.T. and Zara find themselves giving in to their feelings. But J.T.’s well-intentioned lie might cost him everything.
