My Review:

This is a lovely collection of easy to follow cross stitch patterns from The Geeky Stitching Company. There’s a ‘Tools of the Trade’ guide to get new to cross stitch folk up to speed with some of the terminology and the equipment that could help and guidance on setting things up and how to advice, too. After that there are collections of patterns which range from inspirational quotes, animal and floral designs to seasonal specials – you can see some examples of some of the designs on the front cover. In each design there is a photo of the finished product and then a clear design to follow to make your own, complete with a labelled key which indicates the DMC thread colours used in the original version.

I am impressed with the range of designs, the clarity of the design templates and the threads used. They even indicate the approximate length of each colour used in every individual design, making it so easy to purchase the right amount needed to complete any particular design. It is a colourful, well presented book filled with great ideas and I’m definitely looking forward to having a go at some of them myself!

Many thanks to the publishers for my copy of this book which I requested and have honestly reviewed after being inspired to start doing cross stitch again!
