This is a contemporary romance where the heroine, Lucienne Dunn, has been falsely implicated as involved in a crime by her father’s ‘girlfriend’. When Lucienne asks her father for help, he and his lawyer make suggestions that feel wrong to her . . . . but could be the only way to save herself. Faced with that dilemma, her worries about what will happen and a task of helping her friend, Lucienne travels to the Blackstone Ranch. Here she meets the Paxton family, including Brock, an ex-military, very attractive man with whom she clashes from the start. As their attraction builds, there’s danger, dilemmas and, of course, the accusations back home to be faced in this highly entertaining read. Can they find a way to be together? Can she clear her name? I thoroughly enjoyed escaping in it and can’t wait to read the next book in this engaging series!
