Gorgeous, festive #RomCom – Home for Christmas by Camilla Isley

Well, it may well not be Christmas at the moment, but I can never resist a lovely festive romcom and this is a great one!

My Review:

Whatever the time of year,
A festive romcom brings good cheer!
This one is filled with Christmas disasters
That lead to several happily ever afters!

Riven is a world renowned author who
Has writer's block - so what should he do?
He's taken a cabin as a long term let
Hoping it'll inspire his best writing yet.

However, family pressure means he agrees
To join them for Christmas festivities.
However fate intervenes and so they're now
Coming to spend the festivities with him somehow!

Unfortunately there's a fateful mistake that means
Two family groups think the cabin's the place of their dreams.
How can so many folks, who'd never met before
Resolve the problems and have a Christmas to adore?

Get ready for fun, angst, problems and trouble
With children, parents and writers at the double!
There's even a wolf for them to beware
As the festive season unfolds with sharing and care.

In a beautiful, wintry landscape with skiing and fun
This is a heartwarming story, with things to overcome.
I really enjoyed it - it put a smile on my face so
I hope you'll also give it a go!

For my complementary copy of this book, I say thank you,
It is a fun romance I enjoyed and this is my honest review.

Would you share a bed with your enemy to save Christmas?

Down with a bad case of writer’s block, Riven has escaped to a mountain cabin for a prolonged writing retreat. The last thing he needs this Christmas is for his family to invade his sanctuary away from LA. What he needs even less is for a family of strangers as large and boisterous as his own to also be stuck in the same house after a double-booking disaster.

Especially when he ends up having to share a bunk bed with Wendy—a gorgeous, feisty New Yorker who quickly learns how to get under his skin.

Sharing a room with her is sweet torture and Riven isn’t even sure what he dreads more: that every passing day brings them closer to saying goodbye or that they have yet another night to spend together…

Author Bio –

Camilla is an engineer turned writer after she quit her job to follow her husband on an adventure abroad.
She’s a cat lover, coffee addict, and shoe hoarder. Besides writing, she loves reading—duh!—cooking, watching bad TV, and going to the movies—popcorn, please. She’s a bit of a foodie, nothing too serious. A keen traveler, Camilla knows mosquitoes play a role in the ecosystem, and she doesn’t want to starve all those frog princes out there, but she could really live without them.
